By using the NPort 5600-8 Rackmount series, you are capable of protecting your current hardware investment and allow for future network expansion. This is done through centralizing the management of legacy serial devices and distributing management hosts over the network.

This serial device server, supporting RS-232 (NPort 5610-8), RS-422/485 (NPort 5630-8) and RS-232/422/485 (NPort 5650-8), allows to connect 8 devices to an IP based Ethernet LAN. On the front of the NPort, there is Tx/Rx LEDs for each of the serial ports. These provide a great tool for maintenance and helps users analyze problems in the field. The LEDs also help field engineers monitor the status of attached serial devices.

With a 19-inch rackmount design, the NPort 5610-8, 5630-8 and the 5650-8 are a suitable standard for rackmount, which allows you to simplify operational and maintenance tasks.
